Guests of Vermejo have several accommodation options from which to choose when planning their perfect getaway with us. From a luxurious room in the newly-renovated Casa Grande estate on property, to an authentic ranch retreat at Costilla Lodge in the mountains of High Country, Vermejo Park Ranch staff is happy to assist in helping to select the perfect option for our guests.

Ted Turner’s magnificent and newly-renovated home, Casa Grande, offers an unparalleled experience for guests at Vermejo. Previously Mr. Turner’s private residence, Casa Grande was made available to guests beginning in February 2016, following an extensive remodel that began in 2012 and concluded in November 2015.

This 25,000 square foot, 7- bedroom, 9- bath home was constructed by Joseph Lyman Silsbee (1848–1913), mentor to legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright, as a private residence during 1907-1909.

Casa Grande is special among New Mexico ranches, an ideal setting for a group of families, friends or a corporate retreat and is available to book per room, or as a buyout.

   
Casa Grande

Ted Turner’s magnificent and newly-renovated home, Casa Grande, offers an unparalleled experience for guests at Vermejo. Previously Mr. Turner’s private residence, Casa Grande was made available to guests beginning in February 2016, following an extensive remodel that began in 2012 and concluded in November 2015.

This 25,000 square foot, 7 bedroom, 9 bath home was constructed by Joseph Lyman Silsbee (1848–1913), mentor to legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright, as a private residence during 1907-1909.

Casa Grande is the ideal setting for a group of families, friends or a corporate retreat and is available to book per room, or as a buyout.

Main Floor: Ballroom, kitchen, breakfast room, sitting room, billiard room, study and master bedroom (queen); also includes a 1905 Steinway Concert Grand piano.

Second floor: Second master bedroom (queen), 4 additional queen bedrooms and a twin bedroom, sitting room, sunroom; also includes a 1886 Steinway upright piano

   
Costilla Lodge

Located at an elevation of 10,200 feet, and twenty-five miles from the Main Lodge, Costilla Lodge offers the ultimate High Country getaway. With eight private bedrooms and baths, Costilla provides grand views and private balconies from each room, showcasing the alpine prairie and rocky mountain wildlife, as well as an impressive two-story central living area complete with an elaborate stone fireplace. It is the perfect respite for your ranch family vacation.

Completed in 2010, Costilla Lodge was constructed using the Ranch’s own timber and stone, and in 2011 received a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Casa Minor

Built for former Vermejo owner William Bartlett’s son, Norman Bartlett, in the early 1900’s, this large, stone structure boasts a central living area and 12 bedrooms, all with private baths. Three of the downstairs rooms are Junior Suites, while a large loft room that can sleep up to six people resides on the second floor.

The sun porch includes a historic poker table and Casa Minor’s only TV; groups may gather there or in the Main Lodge lounge to catch the latest news and sports highlights.

Guest Houses

Chandler House

Originally built for the ranch’s secretary, this two-story cottage is separated from the Main Lodge by a large lawn.  Chandler House’s five bedrooms and three baths were recently updated. Three of the bedrooms have private baths, while the two downstairs bedrooms have a shared bath.

Bartlett House

Formerly the men’s quarters, this two-story, five-bedroom house was recently fully renovated to reflect the elegant style of Casa Grande. Bartlett House is now comprised of four King bedroom suites each with large private bathrooms, and one room with two Queen beds and private bathroom. A large living space with a wet bar provides a delightful gathering spot, perfect for families or groups.

Gourley House

This remodeled five-bedroom cottage once housed the ranch’s staff butler. Three of the rooms have private baths, while the two downstairs bedrooms share a bath. Like most of the other buildings within short walking distance to the Main Lodge, Gourley House sits in dignified solitude across the manicured lawn.

Pennzoil House

Former ranch owner William Bartlett built this home, with its spectacular views of the Vermejo Valley, to accommodate the physician treating Barlett’s ailing son, Norman, at the time. This four-bedroom house offers a cozy living room and complete privacy.

Turner House

Once a historic washroom, Vermejo guests now enjoy its spacious living area and three bedrooms. Turner House also features a small kitchen equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, flat-top stove with four burners, microwave and coffee pot. Pine trees were cleared to form a large side yard where guests may catch glimpses of elk and deer while sipping their morning coffee.

Vermejo Park Ranch Policies & Procedures*

Payment Policy

  • Vermejo Park Ranch accepts final payment by cash, personal check, or credit card. Payment must be made at checkout unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • A deposit of 50% of total reservation not including state and local taxes is due at time of booking.
  • For group contracts with Vermejo Park Ranch, a grace period of ten (10) buisness days is given from the day of written or verbal request to pay the deposit to the Reservations Desk via check or credit card. If an invoice is required, please indicate so at time of booking.
  • Please note: Vermejo Park Ranch no longer transfers deposits or reservations to subsequent years. Refunds of deposit overages are made at time of departure.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • In the unfortunate event you must cancel your stay with us, please adhere to the following:
    • Cancellation notification must occur at least 61 days prior to your arrival date to receive refunded payment. A 10% fee of your total reservation amount will be non-refundable. Reservation reductions such as party size or duration made within 60 days of arrival will not receive rate adjustments.

Pet Policy

We love pets as much as you do, but due to the disturbance to wildlife caused by domestic pets, as well as predator danger to the pets themselves, pets are not allowed at Vermejo Park Ranch.

Vermejo Park Ranch is a smoke-free environment.
